Abstract: |
This work aims to improve the corrosion resistance of epoxy resin cured at ‒10 ℃. Herein, 5-Amino-1,3,4- thiadiazole-2-thiol modified graphene oxide (AMT-GO) were successfully prepared by solution blending method. The same amount of graphene oxide (GO) and AMT-GO fillers were introduced into epoxy resin, which cured at low temperature (‒10 ℃). The corrosion protection performance of the coatings cured at low temperature was studied by salt spray test, low temperature-salt spray alternating test, adhesion test and water absorption test. The epoxy coating with the right amount of AMT-GO filler can cure well at ‒10 ℃ after 72 h, forming a more compact cross-linked structure, and still has good anti-corrosion performance after 6 days of salt spray test. The water absorption of the AMT-GO/EP (2.77%) is about half of that of the pure epoxy coating (5%), and the adhesion of the AMT-GO/EP (5.53 MPa) is higher than that of the pure epoxy coating (4.01 MPa). AMT-GO can effectively prevent the infiltration process of corrosive medium, to improve the anti-corrosion coating performance. Besides, the coating will remain in the low temperature-salt alternating fog test is excellent anticorrosion performance. |
