Abstract: |
Objective To achieve high-quality, low-cost and efficient polishing of glass material. Methods Different additives were selected as auxiliary ingredients to prepare polishing abrasive tools with fixed abrasives, and the effects of production process, the formula and proportion of additive materials, the fixed abrasives and abrasive tools on the material hardness and shear strength were illustrated. The material removal rate, surface quality and wear ratio of the workpiece were used as evaluation indexes to analyze the effects of different additive auxiliary materials on the processing results. And the optimal formula of additive auxiliary material was determined by the equivalent coefficient method. Results The hardness and shear strength of the abrasive tool could be increased by silicon carbide and ammonium molybdate. The surface quality of workpiece could be effectively improved by addition of appropriate amount of Al2 O3 into the abrasives tool. Conclusion The optimal formula of additive for fixed-abrasive polishing was 4000# Al2 O3(10. 6% )with 10000# SiC(2% ). |
