Abstract: |
Objective To obtain the optimal parameters during the electrodepositing of Ni-Cr foam alloy. Methods The main factors including the thickness, deposition rate and chrome content of the coating layer were explored by orthogonal design experiment. The coating indices for cross-section microstructure and surface morphologies were investigated by the test methods. Results A 24. 09 μm thick layer of uniform and bright coating was obtained with 14. 76 wt% of Cr at the deposition rate of 0. 4198 mg /( cm2 ·min) in the solution of 125 g / L CrCl3 ·6 H2 O with a pH of 2. 0 and current density of 28 A / dm2 at 25 ℃ for sixty minutes. Conclusion Temperature was the most important factor affecting the Ni-Cr alloy layer thickness and deposition rate in the range of 25 ~ 40 ℃ , and the concentration of CrCl3 ·6 H2O and complexant in plating solution were the most important factors affecting the chrome content of the coating layer. |
