Abstract: |
Rare-earth conversion film was obtained on surface of stainless steels. The optimum processing parameters of the passivation were gained with orthogonal test. Corrosion resistance of conversion film was examined by chemical titration test and electrochemical anodic polarization curves, and the morphologies of coating was identified by optical microscope. The results show that high concentration cerium forms brown film and low concentration forms yellow conversion film on stainless steels, hence it makes the corrosion potential increase from 20 mV t0 200 -1000 mV; Conversion film corrosion resistance increases with the darkening of surface colors and decreasing of roughness coarse degree in the observation. |
