| SiC coating was prepared on graphite and carbon/ carbon composites using slurry sintering method to improve oxidation resistance. The oxidation behavior ability of SiC coating on different carbon matrix was investigated at 12000C . The microstructure of the coating was studied by the means of scanning electron microscopy( SEM) , and X-ray diffraction ( XRD) . Results show that the oxidation behavior ability of SiC coating for different carbon materials has definitely different. SiC coating has excellent oxidation resistance for graphite and poor oxidation resistance for C/C composites. |
